Ukraine: "Megahard 2010: Survival Mission" May 28-

I would like to invite you to the annual event that we are organizing in Ukraine near Kiev, the trophy raid called Megahard. It would be held on May 28-30
This year our race in Ukraine takes place from May 28th to May 30th, and we are looking forward to host all those competitors who are best prepared and equipped to master the most extreme off-road conditions. The Megahard 2010 will be conducted under the aegis of Federation of Automobile Sport of Ukraine (FAU) as one of the five stages FAU Cup for the annual off-road competition in Ukraine. (categories Tr1-3, ATV, Tourism).
Megahard Trophy Raid represents a linear race against time along the established route inside the given corridor. The competitors must negotiate hard crossing forests and swamps in Kyiv and Zhitomir regions, and in scenic beautiful Polesie. The race specific features include: crews GPS/GPRS track logging and communications control; wide selection of optional bonus way points (WP) that the crews can take while departing from the main route and a complete crews self-sustainability during the race a true survival mode. The route is divided into several special stages (SS), many of them located close to the base camp that for sure will make the race spectacular and attractive for the viewers. The race will last for the period of 24 to 36 hours including mandatory resting period for the crews who will park their vehicles in the Parc Ferme. Tracking system allows to follow the route events on the big screen in the base camp in real time, and the experienced viewers, based on the information they see on the screen, will be able to go to the spots where most interesting events currently take place.
This year we introduce a new element a Tourism Class. The route for the competitors in this class runs through the historical places of the Kievan Rus, in the amazing historical lands where ancient drevlians and polians lived, where you will see a wondrous beauty of Ukraines heritage while competing in navigation skills with other crews. Definitely, for many tourists, their families and friends a race will turn out to be a week-end wheeling adventure, while others may discover and open a door into the off-road sports in which anyone can learn his/her limitations and feel comrades-in-arms support in the off-road battle named Megahard.
