 Reminds me of the time I went scouting for Javelina (a little piglike animal)in Arizona, and went through the river at Bloody Basin with my Nissan Pathfinder. It was coming down pretty strong, but nothing it could not handle. At the end of day came back the same way, we were all tired, it was getting dark, and I did not have much fuel left, and there was some idiot with a large 4X4 pickup stuck in the river, and all attemps to pull him out from the bank was proving fruitless. I had a choice, go through the river past him, or turn around and go back via Horseshoe Lake, a 90 mile detour and not enough gas. I put it in 4X4 low, yelled at my 2 friends to hold on tight, aimed far enough upriver so I would not get washed right into him, and passed him without any effort. As I passed him, I did something he probably did not appreciate, I shouted to him "next time buy Japanese!".
