Lockers for Land Rovers

Manual Lockers: These are devices which run a normal open differential that can be locked through some mechanism to force both wheels to turn together.

* Maxi-Drive:

o $1900 AUD for rear, more for front if CVs required.
o Vacuum actuated using an externally mounted dual acting vacuum piston.
o The actuator moves a dog clutch which locks the short halfshaft to the differential center. A switch on the actuator detects if the splines are fully engaged. An indicator light in the cab
o 4 pin machined diff.
o Halfshafts made from HyTuf AMS6418 are supplied with the locker. These are as large as possible while fitting through the stock stub shafts. This material has extremely high impact strength.
o Kit also contained drive flanges to suit the halfshafts.
o Front applications use early 110 CVs which are the strongest available to fit in the swivel housings.

o Works with stock halfshafts.


Automatic Lockers: These devices fully lock the differential automatically. Usually they remain locked until force from a wheel causes the diff to unlock and allow differential action.

o Replaces diff center and works with stock 10 spline or 24 spline halfshafts.

Limited Slip (Torque Biasing): These differentials increased torque to the wheel that is turning slower. The slower turning wheel will get an increase in torque over the faster turning wheel up to a maximum amount of 2 to 5 times depending on the design of the device.

DAK difrit saab 3 erineva tugevusega. Osadele autodele ja markidele ei saa 3 erineva tugevusega. Kõige äkilisem (kiireima lukustumisega) on DAK. Keskmine on DAK7 ja lahjem on DAK5. Äkilisem ja lahjem sõltub sellest, kui suured on jäetud kuulide ja tigude lõtkud või midagi sellist. (mu vene keel on sitt mis sitt ja selle tõttu võib tulla arusaamatusi). Igatahes. DAK on vähimagi erinevuse puhul kohe lukus, DAK7 veidi sujuvamalt ja DAK5 on nii sujuv, et näiteks selleks, et diagonaalis üle kraavi minna, siis täitsa lukku saamiseks tuleb rippuv ratas kässariga kinni pidurdada. Veel annab valida lisaks 3 kangusastme vahel selle vahel, et kummas liikumissuunas lukk tootab 90% ja kummas 100%. Kui on näiteks lukk DAK 90/100, siis edasi lukustab 90% ja tagurpidi 100%. Kui on näiteks uazik "lahingmasin" (offroad võistlusauto), siis soovitavad seal panna nii ette kui taha DAK 100/90. Kui näiteks ka kiiremat sõitu vaja teha siis ette 90/100 ja taha 100/90. Kui veel tsiviliseeritum, siis nii ette kui taha 90/100.
99a. Jimny puhul on nt. sellised valikud, et ette DAK7 ja DAK5 ja nii 90/100 kui 100/90 ning tahasilda DAK7 90/100. (100/90 ei pakugi)

DAK puhul kirjutas kodulehe chati operaator, et 2 difrit pakiga eestisse saata maksab 2000 rutsi e. u. 25€. Tolli kohta ei osand öelda ja lähim pood Eestile on Moskvas. Seega postiga tellimine on justkui väga ok lahendus. Maksta pidi saama kaardiga peale seda, kui saadavad tellijale meilile mingi kinnituse lingi vms. Kui tellida rohkem, nt. 4 või 6 difrit korraga, siis pole pointi sest siis on transa hinnad vastavalt 4000 ja 6000 rutsi.
