JR - the beer was made to look and taste exactly like coffee  I think somehow we got that bit badly wrong :(

its not a fancy garage Landy - its a cow barn  , its taken us almost 3 years to turn it into the mess you see in the video, most of it is stuff we've found and repaired, the rest is hard work and money saving

The job isnt so bad, team mates, good music, lots of WD40 and a lot of copper grease and it goes pretty quick. we had a deadline because Trevor could only take his truck off the road for the weekend, he came up on Friday and drove home on Sunday with a smile on his face :D

ahh but we have a plasma cutter Veiko - it cuts fast 8)

Trev (the guy who owns the car) is a careful guy, he looks after his car very well and covers everything in copper grease so it wasnt a battle to take apart, we replaced a lot of nuts and bolts as we rebuilt it.

We have plenty of salt and very old landrovers here, we also have many fights with rust

Is there any paperwork required in UK? New chassis number etc? Do you have to show the car in DVLA before/after?

Also could you scan and post here any certificates & paperwork included with new chassis?

Just wondering, could we do that legally in Estonia, our DVLA is quite strict in that matter - VIN and chassis numbers have to match.

All the paperwork matches (Vin, Chassis etc) you can do this by ordering the replacement chassis stamped with your existing chassis number, because its a direct replacement (not modified) theres no problem doing this officially. Trevor kept the piece of the original chassis that had the numbers stamped on so he can prove (if anyone official ever asks) that the old chassis had been destroyed. If you were really worried you can take the car for an ID check and the DVLA will look, say ok and that will be it.

The replacement chassis is so good the only difference is the galvanising (and the fact its construction is corner welded instead of 2 "C" sections) The replacement chassis can be ordered in different thicknesses if you want something stronger (heavier) or you can order a coil sprung 88" chassis for a series Landrover allowing you to change to Range Rover/Discovery/Defender axles and suspension.

There are no certificates that come with the new chassis but there is a receipt and this can show that your exisiting chassis number has been stamped in (if you want). Its a pretty normal thing to do here, it helps the car keep a good value if its not rusty! :D
