Have had the carbonfibre bonnet and some other parts at a paintshop some time now, so I haven`t driven the truck for a while, but
took it for a spin when I had sorted out the timing. Have retarded it some. One word comes to mind, AWESOME powerincrease!!!!!!!!. Have adjusted the pump some
more, the fueldelivery is close to 90cc. Max fuelflow is 140cc though. Over 2000 rpm. it is faster than my previuos truck, a Landcruiser 80
4,2 Turbo diesel with some pumpmods done to it. I had std. tiresize on the LC 80, while I have 36" tires on the Patrol, much heavier tire.
Didn`t know it would make such a big difference with the new distributorhead and 12mm plunger. With the bigger turbo, big IC, twin KN air filter
set-up, modified intake, 3" exhaust with a new dump pipe, more boost and propane-kit, it is able to burn all that extra fuel so I am really happy
with the power. Even without the propane it revs so damn fast.
I have also adjusted the boost. comp. on the pump to get much fuel from just above idle, to prevent turbolag. I get the same respond at 1800-2000 rpm. with the new set-up, as I did at max revs before. No wonder it is so much faster.
I am gone mount the VDO pyrometer next week, to be able to monitor EGT, I think I need it with all that extra fuel. Will be getting a larger thermofan also and
maybe a bigger alloy radiator and oilcooler, more fuel, more heat but also more FUN!!!
